Glencore Agriculture to Rebrand as Viterra This Year
This year will see Glencore Agriculture, a global commodity handler, processor, and marketer operating in more than 35 countries, rebrand under the Viterra name following its spin-off from global commodities giant Glencore.
The move comes four years after Glencore sold a 50 percent stake in its agriculture business to Canadian pension fund CPP Investments and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), which led to Glencore Agriculture becoming a separate entity from Glencore Plc.
Headquartered in Regina Saskatchewan, Canada, Viterra is part of Glencore Agriculture, and operates a network of elevators, special crop facilities, processing plants, and terminals across Canada and parts of the U.S. It also controls 85 grain storage facilities with capacity of 120.36 million bushels.
