Bunge Relocating Global Headquarters to St. Louis

Bunge has announced its plans to move its global headquarters from White Plains, New York, to its offices in Chesterfield, Missouri. Chesterfield is already home to the company’s North American headquarters with 525 employees, and will now absorb its global headquarters, which employs another 180.

The decision to move was made as part of the company’s efforts to shift its operating model toward a more aligned, efficient, and streamlined business structure. The company also noted in a statement how St. Louis is also home to multiple major food, agriculture, animal health, and plant science organizations and customers.

It is still unclear to what extent this relocation , which is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2020, will affect Bunge’s organization, however, it is understood that there may be some duplicative roles, and may result in the elimination of certain positions.
